Which should I purchase? Hot Spot Gel vs Derma Cream

Our Derma Cream and Hot Spot Gel are some of our best sellers giving Dogs and Cats suffering with various skin issues much needed relief and promote healing. Both are designed to address dermatological concerns in pets, but they have distinct formulations and applications. So which should you buy for your pet?

Derma Cream

Pet Drs Derma Cream is a specially formulated cream designed to provide relief for a wide range of skin conditions in pets. It's meticulously crafted with a blend of natural ingredients known for their soothing and healing properties. This cream is best suited for dry, flakey and itchy skin like these:

This cream is extremely versatile, and suitable for various skin issues, including dryness, flakiness, itching, rashes and minor irritations. It can be used on atopic dermatitis and other skin issues. (Always check with your pet before choosing a cream for a very specific condition) Derma Cream is enriched with natural ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, and calendula. These botanical extracts are known for their anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties, and aids in the healing process of wounds and skin irritations, helping to reduce inflammation and promote healthy skin regeneration.

Pet Drs Hot Spot Gel

This Gel was formulated for Hot Spots, a common dermatological issue in pets. Hot spots are localised areas of acute inflammation and irritation. They can occur from excessive licking or irritation on the skin. Pet Drs Hot Spot Gel is best suited for red, inflamed or rash like skin like this:

Hot Spots tend to hold moisture and can turn into open wounds, so our Hot Spot Gel contains ingredients with natural antimicrobial properties, which can help prevent bacterial infections in hot spots. The aloe vera and other key ingredients help to pull the inflammation out of the skin, soothe and cool the skin to begin repairing the issue. Pet Drs Hot Spot Gel is formulated to provide quick relief. It's especially beneficial for pets that tend to scratch or bite at affected areas, as it helps to calm the irritation rapidly.

Still Unsure?

Some skin conditions or severe irritation will benefit from both creams. We see this very often. For more extreme cases we recommend buying both and layering the products. Start with the Hot Spot Gel and allow that to soak in for 10 minutes or so, then go ahead and layer the derma cream on top!

Tip: If there are open wounds/broken skin use the Hot Spot Gel for the first few days to help repair the skin. Once the skin is healing over then layer the products.

Both Pet Drs Derma Cream and Pet Drs Hot Spot Gel are exceptional products tailored to meet specific dermatological needs in pets. The choice between the two ultimately depends on the nature of your pet's skin issue.
